Gradex is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes specifically around civil site work and utilities, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Train and teach Foreman on your projects.
• Coordinate and manage GC’s, subcontractors, foremen, and crew, providing clear direction and support.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using construction management software, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with project managers to manage project budgets, schedules, and planning effectively.
• Utilize tools, such as InEight for managing field reporting and time and Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
• Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to specifications and codes.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and documentation. Ensure foremen are doing the same.
• Create and maintain daily dispatch for workers.
• Create and maintain daily dispatch for sub trucking.

Skills:

• Thorough understanding of site work, including grading, excavation, paving, trenching, and utility installations.
• Thorough understanding of utility codes and requirements to ensure correct, quality installations of underground utilities.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools such as InEight, Procore, and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques and contract management.
• Excellent supervisory skills with a proven track record in managing and training teams effectively.
• Knowledgeable in quality control processes within the civil and utility construction industry.
• Support project planning for materials, labor, and trucking needs and assist foremen in looking & planning ahead.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
